What's happening at work?

We work only in employment and immigration law: we know every procedure inside out. Choose your situation and hire us straight away or get advice first.

I've been dismissed or disciplined

You have 20 working days to make a claim: don't let the deadline pass.

Dismissal

We review the dismissal letter, the final settlement and the compensation, and whether the dismissal could be declared unfair (improcedente) or void (nulo).

Disciplinary sanction

If you have been given a warning or suspended from work without pay, we look at whether the sanction can be challenged.

My employer owes me money

Wages, overtime, extra salary payments or a final settlement you haven't been paid.

Claim for money owed

We claim what you are owed. As a general rule, you have one year from when you should have been paid.

My hours, role or pay have been changed

We assess whether the change is lawful and what options you have.

Changes to working conditions

If the change is substantial, you can challenge it or, in some cases, leave the company with compensation. We explain which option suits you best.

I'm not sure whether what I'm going through at work is normal

Harassment, pressure or treatment that doesn't seem fair to you.

Workplace harassment

We help you gather evidence and decide how to act: with your employer, the Labour Inspectorate or the courts.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about employment law

How long do I have to challenge a dismissal?

20 working days from the date of dismissal (not counting Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays). It's a very short deadline and it can't be extended: it's best to get advice as soon as possible.

Do I have to sign the final settlement (finiquito)?

Signing shows that you have received it, but you can write “no conforme” (not in agreement) next to your signature if you don't agree with the amounts. If in doubt, check it with us first.

Does making a claim mean taking my employer to court?

Not necessarily. Before any trial there is a conciliation hearing, and many cases are resolved through negotiation or conciliation. We explain each option so that you can decide what you want to achieve.

Can I make a claim if I still work for the company?

Yes. You can claim money or conditions without leaving your job, and the law protects you against retaliation for exercising your rights.

How long do I have to claim wages I am owed?

As a general rule, one year from when you should have been paid them.

Can I be dismissed while I'm on sick leave?

Being on sick leave does not in itself prevent a dismissal, but if you are dismissed because of your health, it may be considered discriminatory. We review each case.

General guidance only. Employment deadlines are short: talk to us as soon as possible.
