Vanina Cicero Ferreyra
Lawyer | Immigration Law and Employment Law
I am Vanina Cicero Ferreyra, a lawyer specialising in Immigration Law and Employment Law and the founder of LEXFELS ABOGADOS, a law firm based in Castelldefels, Barcelona.
I support individuals and families who need to resolve their immigration status in Spain, and workers going through employment disputes, looking for legal solutions tailored to the circumstances of each case.
I believe in law practised in a way that is approachable, clear and strategic. A practice in which people understand what is happening, what their options are and why we take each decision.
My professional background
I graduated in Law from the University of Barcelona in 2019 and then completed the Master's Degree for Access to the Legal Profession, taught by the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona Bar Association, specialising in civil and commercial litigation.
Throughout my career I have worked in different areas of law, including Civil, Criminal, Family, Inheritance and Administrative litigation.
This experience allowed me to develop a broad view of legal disputes and to understand that, very often, behind a seemingly simple enquiry there are several legal issues that need to be analysed together.
Over time, I decided to focus my practice on two areas that have a particularly important impact on people's lives: Immigration Law and Employment Law.
Today I lead LEXFELS ABOGADOS, a firm from which, together with my team, we support our clients in both administrative and court proceedings.
How I understand the legal profession
I have always believed that practising law involves much more than knowing the law or filing documents.
Behind every case there is a person, a family, a job or a life plan. And understanding that reality is just as important as knowing the applicable rules.
That is why the way I work rests on three principles:
Strategy
Not every case needs the same solution. Before acting, I analyse the circumstances, the risks and the real possibilities in order to define the most suitable path.
Commitment and follow-up
I know that behind many proceedings there is uncertainty, worry and important decisions. That is why I consider it essential to have close communication, organised follow-up and real involvement throughout the whole process.
My goal is not only to handle a case or defend a court proceeding, but for every person to feel supported and to have the peace of mind of knowing that their matter is being handled responsibly.

Beyond my profession, I am someone who deeply values family, closeness and human relationships.
I understand how important it is to be able to build a life with stability and peace of mind. Perhaps that is why I connect especially with the people who come to the firm looking for an opportunity, trying to resolve a difficult situation or defending something they believe is fair.
I enjoy working with people, listening to their stories and looking for solutions that make sense not only from a legal point of view, but also from their personal reality.
That is also the philosophy I try to pass on to the whole LEXFELS team.

Who looks after you at the firm
Marta Serra Martí
Head of Case Management and Processing
Marta handles the internal management and processing of the firm’s case files.
She reviews the documentation and files administrative and court proceedings electronically, mainly in immigration, Spanish nationality and employment matters: nationality applications, immigration files, written submissions and claims, following up each procedure and keeping track of administrative and procedural deadlines.
Organised, meticulous and committed, she checks every file in detail so that the documentation is complete and the work is rigorous and orderly.
She holds a Higher Diploma in Administration and Finance (IES Núria de Gavà) and is studying Psychology at the University of Barcelona. Her sense of responsibility and empathy help the firm run smoothly and offer a professional, approachable and efficient service.
María Belén Baeñuelos
Client Services and Commercial Management
María Belén is the first person you speak to when you contact the firm.
She handles first contact, enquiries, appointment scheduling and client follow-up, so that communication between clients and the firm is close and smooth.
A graduate in International Relations, she has experience in administration, customer service and process coordination in international and multicultural settings.
She has lived in Germany and other countries, which gives her a multicultural outlook and a special sensitivity to migration and settling into a new place. She speaks English, French, Portuguese, Catalan and German to a high level and assists clients of many nationalities.
Organised, communicative, warm and empathetic, she makes sure everyone feels heard and supported from the very first contact.
